I swear this cat is judging me for not having a flower field outside my window. Every time I look at it, I half-expect it to turn around and say, “You call this a view? I’ve seen better in a houseplant.” Still, it’s the funniest conversation starter I’ve ever hung on my wall.

My mom walked in, pointed at the painting, and said, “When did you get a cat?!” I told her it’s my “virtual cat roommate” who handles all the scenic daydreaming so I don’t have to. Now my dad stops by every morning to say, “Nice view, little guy!” to it.

I bought this as a cute bedroom decor piece, but it’s accidentally become my “quiet quitting” inspiration. Every time I’m stuck working late, I glance at that cat chilling by the countryside and think, “If he can retire to a flower field, so can I.” My boss is this close to getting a resignation letter titled “My Cat Deserves Better.”

My actual cat saw this print and tried to high-five the painting cat! Now he camps under it like it’s a travel poster for his dream farm vacation. I guess I need to start saving for a cat-sized suitcase.
